This Unit of Learning (UoL) is for Cubism-Inspired Portraits. The theme for this UoL was Role Model, where students gathered images of their choosen role model, from differnt angles, and created a series of observational drawings and experients taking inspiration from Cubism artists such as Pablo Picasso. Through the exploration of the portrait and understanding of the characteristics of Cubism, students created an A2 painting representing their choosen role model.

This UoL is suitable to both Junior and Senior cycle. It has been completed in a Junior Cycle framework template yet is adaptable to the Senior Cycle Curriculum
